Configuration of the NTP Multicast Mode-HUAWEI

**********NTP Multicast Mode-GPON********

Let the following configurations: OLT-1 uses the local clock as the master NTP clock on stratum 2 and works in the NTP multicast mode, multicasting clock synchronization packets periodically through IP address 10.10.10.10/24 of the L3 interface of VLAN 2, and OLT-2 functions as the NTP client, listening to the multicast packets sent from the server through IP address 10.10.10.20/24 of the L3 interface of VLAN 2 and synchronizing with the clock on the multicast server. To perform these configurations, do as follows:

  1. On OLT-1:
    OLT-1(config)#ntp-service refclock-master 2
    OLT-1(config)#vlan 2 standard
    OLT-1(config)#port vlan 2 0/19 0
    OLT-1(config)#interface vlanif 2
    OLT-1(config-if-vlanif2)#ip address 10.10.10.10 24
    OLT-1(config-if-vlanif2)#ntp-service multicast-server
    OLT-1(config-if-vlanif2)#quit

  2. On OLT-2:
    OLT-2(config)#vlan 2 standard
    OLT-2(config)#port vlan 2 0/19 0
    OLT-2(config)#interface vlanif 2
    OLT-2(config-if-vlanif2)#ip address 10.10.10.20 24
    OLT-2(config-if-vlanif2)#ntp-service multicast-client
    OLT-2(config-if-vlanif2)#quit
